The recent Charleston killings shook the United States after a 21 year old male killed nine African-American people in a historic church in South Carolina.

There were increasing calls for South Carolina to remove the Confederate flag in Charleston after the recent shooting.

Also, this month saw the increase in Republican nominees after both Jeb Bush and Donald Trump announced their fight for the White House.

In South America, June saw the start of the famous football tournament, Copa América, in Chile, where Uruguay are the defending champions.
